This crisis has spiraled out of control. It's a total disaster. We've tried just about everything to fix it, but nothing seems to work. At this point, it feels like we're toast. Frankly, I don't know what else to do. This is a train wreck of epic proportions.

Or were we just all part of a grand, cosmic prank?

Dreadful Day Ever
It all started with a case of bedhead hair. I couldn't do it to look presentable. As I was scrambling out the door, I fell and with a thud all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was completely late for school.

By the time I reached my destination, I was exhausted. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as a day to forget.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
